  • JOIN CHAINFREE BRISTOL!

Chainfree Bristol is dedicated to banning the lifetime, unattended chaining or tethering of dogs. Our goals include education and ordinance development.  Building fences demonstrates an acceptable alternative to chaining or tethering a dog.

    Here’s How You Can Help:
    1. Contribute time and work.  Volunteer to help build fences for folks who would let their dog off the chain if they had an appropriately fenced area in their yard. Materials and direction to be furnished by Chainfree Bristol.

    2. Contribute money.   Chainfree Bristol is a non profit organization Chartered by the State of  TN with a 501-C-3 tax exempt status!

    3. Contribute beverage cans (aluminum) or printer cartridges! These are recycled with earnings contributed directly to Chainfree Bristol!

Please support us in this grassroots effort, by sending your tax deductible contributions to Chainfree Bristol.   P. O. Box 681 Bristol, TN 37621 or go to chainfreebristol.org   100% of contributions fund fencing materials to release chained or tethered dogs. For more info contact:  Liza at liza@chainfreebristol.org or 423-534-9755.

Dogs Number 43, 44, 45 and 46 Free at Last!

Upon the suggestion of her case worker, a disabled pet owner contacted Chainfree Bristol about her four chained dogs.  These dogs were existing in the worst possible conditions… on very short chains, needing medical attention and living in dirt and their own waste.

SPARKY, 6 years old

ROSCOE, 7 years on a chain

BENGAL BOY, 8+ years old

BUSTER, 7 years old and never free!

Chainfree Bristol paid for two visits from vets and medicines, installed dog houses, and built an extra large fenced enclosure.

 Chainfree Bristol Volunteers!

All four dogs… free and happy together!
